Observer Ranch runs a calendar of themed events throughout the year, from science-focused gatherings to hands-on workshops, all hosted at the same property near the Royal Gorge. If you have never been to one, here is what to expect.

What kind of events does Observer Ranch host?

Events range from multi-day gatherings built around a specific topic, like climate science or emergency preparedness, to shorter workshops like community painting sessions. Do I need to already be a member to attend?

No. Events are open to any guest who registers and books a ticket tier for that specific event. Membership is a separate, ongoing option for guests who want continued access to recorded content and community programming beyond a single event visit, but it is not a requirement to attend an event. If an event has any special access rules, they will be listed on that event's page.

What do ticket tiers usually look like?

Most events offer a few ticket levels, for example a full multi-day pass, a limited free or lower-cost single-day option, and a VIP tier with expanded access. Exact tiers and pricing vary event to event, so check the event page for the tiers and prices that apply.

Do I need to book lodging separately?

Yes. Event registration and lodging are booked separately. Plan to reserve your cabin, camper, or RV site alongside your event ticket, especially for popular multi-day events where accommodations can sell out first. If an event ever handles lodging differently, its page will say so.
